Collaborating with the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), we embraced new sustainability initiatives in Thailand. In December 2021, we achieved ISO 20121:2012 certification, reflecting our commitment to sustainable event planning.

Amari Bangkok is renowned for its sustainable practices, exemplified across its 18 meeting rooms and function spaces.

ISO 20121:2012 is a benchmark for Event Sustainability Management Systems, helping organisations in the events industry enhance the sustainability of their event-related activities, products, and services.

We extend our sustainability commitment to events, minimising single-use plastics, optimising portion sizes, and implementing eco-friendly practices. Our initiatives, such as linen-less tables and chairs, controlled room temperature, food donation, local organic coffee/tea breaks, potted plants, bulk condiments, and sustainable bottled water, support environmental well-being. These adhere to ISO 20121 standards and undergo regular audits. Transitioning all function room light bulbs to LED reduced energy consumption by 98%.
